Appeal for Witnesses following Jewellery Theft – 30th August

Police in Dumfries are investigating the theft of diamond earrings from a jewellers shop in Bank Street in town at around 1010 hours on Friday 30 August 2013. The earrings have a value of about £14,000. Police want to trace the following described men who were in the shop at the time. The first is described as being in his mid to late 30s, 5’10” tall, muscled physique, bald and was wearing a khaki coloured flat cap, black fitted jumper with a white t-shirt underneath, fitted dark denim jeans and black trainers. He spoke with a Newcastle accent. The second is described a being of large build, wearing a blue zipped top with white tassles, dark coloured headwear and dark denim jeans. He also spoke with a Newcastle accent. They were last seen heading up Bank Street towards the High Street.
