Spate of Serious Vadalism in Dumfries

Police are working on a massive number of reports of vadalism in the Dumfries area over the past 48 hours:

A blue coloured Citroen ZX car was vandalised while parked in College Street in Dumfries sometime between 1800 hours on Thursday 12 and 0900 hours on Friday 13 August.

A black coloured Vauxhall Astra car was vandalised while parked in Cumberland Street in Dumfries around 1830 hours on Friday 13 August. Police want to trace a group of youth who were seen running away from the scene. One of the youths is described as being 15/16 years old, short fair/ginger hair, freckles 5’ 11” tall, wearing a grey top and bottoms, and white Forest Hills trainers with blue soles.

A silver Honda Civic car was vandalised around 0440 hours on Saturday 14 August, while it was parked in Barrie Avenue in Dumfries. Police want to trace four youths, one who was wearing a blue striped top and another wearing camouflage trousers who were seen running away.

The front window to the premises of the Good Health Chinese Medicine shop in Friars Vennel in Dumfries was smashed sometime overnight Friday 13/Saturday 14 August.

A sign attached to a wall at the National car Parks car park in Shakespeare Street in Dumfries was vandalised sometime overnight Friday 13/Saturday 14 August.

A window in a house in Goldie Crescent in Dumfries was smashed sometime around 0150 hours on Saturday 14 August.

A window in a house in Alloway road was smashed sometime between 1200 hours on Friday 13 and 1200 hours on Saturday 14 August.

A window in a house in Priory Road in Dumfries was smashed sometime overnight Saturday 14/Sunday 15 August.

A window in a house in Lorimer Crescent in Dumfries was smashed sometime overnight Saturday 14/Sunday 15 August

A blue Fiat Panda car was vandalised while parked in Brooms Road in Dumfries sometime between 1400 hours and 2300 hours on Saturday 14 August.
