The hearse will then return to Pagan’s funeral directors on Annan Road, Dumfries.
Joe Pool grew up in Dumfries and attended Maxwelltown High School from August 1995 to December 1999. Head teacher Terry Pierce said, “We were extremely saddened to hear of the death of Lance Corporal Joe Pool while he was on active service in Afghanistan. He is remembered by staff at Maxwelltown High School as a friendly, diligent student with a sense of humour. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad and difficult time.”
Lance Corporal Joe Pool’s funeral will take place in Greenock, where his fiancée, Lynsey Houston, and sons, Lee (7) and Jamie (2), live.
