World Logan Botanic Garden will feature on the BBC’s stalwart show Gardener’s World on Friday 31 July with presenter Carol Klein hosting the show from ˜Scotland’s Most Exotic Garden. Logan’s well-earned exotic title stems from its wide range of sub-tropical plants such as Echium nervosum, palm avenues and the Tree Dandelion. The BBC team couldn’t have chosen a better time to showcase the Garden as filming took place during the early summer flowering peak. Logan Botanic Garden Curator Richard Baines said “This is a fantastic opportunity for Logan to showcase its unique collection UK-wide and not just in Scotland, which rivals many other British gardens with its vast array of Southern Hemisphere treasures. Recent plantings such as the new Palm lawn and the Cabbage Palm Avenue have greatly enhanced its exotic look. Logan is also due to be featured on TV programme Border Life shortly which will give the viewers a chance to hear about recent developments, as well as hear about botanical treasures.
