The driver of a car on the A75 Dumfries bypass between the Bloomfield and Lockerbie Road roundabouts had a laser light shone into his eyes from the bridge which goes over the road. The driver pulled into a lay-by to recover.
This is the second recent case of a driver being temporarily blinded by a laser light; a taxi driver having expereinced a similar incident on 22nd September while driving on Glasgow Street, Dumfries.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in this area around 2000 hours on Saturday 2nd October 2010 and who may have seen anything suspicious.
