Dumfries and Galloway Council’s Education Services is currently conducting a service review so that it can improve services.
The aim is to have services that:
• Help all children and young people to achieve the best possible outcomes
• Are high quality
• Are within budget and sustainable for the future
The review is looking at all education services for children from the age of 2 to 18 across the region, examining ways of re-arranging services to ensure there is fair access to them and they make the best use of available money.
A consultation phase for the service review will run from 1 October to 10 November 2015. Anyone can participate in this consultation by completing the online survey https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Y9RXW92 or by submitting a paper response available from all schools.

Councillor Jeff Leaver, chairman of the Education Committee, said: “Providing the best start in life for all our children is a priority for our Council. So, it’s important that those with an interest in education in Dumfries and Galloway take part in this consultation to provide councillors with as much information as possible on which to base decisions.
“We want to continue to work with our stakeholders to improve our service to our young people.”
