Fatal Accident on A709 near Lochmaben – 21 year old local man killed

Police can now confirm that a 21 year old Lochmaben man has been killed in a road traffic crash which occurred on the A709 road just outside Lochmaben about 1200 hours today (Thursday 11 November 2010). The crash involved two vehicles, a silver Vauxhall Corsa car and a black Renault Scenic car.
The road is still closed and diversion routes are now in place. A full crash investigation examination of the scene is currently being carried out.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this crash to get in touch through the usual 0845 600 5701 number.
