Dumfries and Galloway police are advising against travel this evening due to extremely high winds.
DG1 has been evacuated and is shut due to an emergency
Nith place is shut due to the roof coming off the flats
Power is out in the new Barnhill estate.
Met office severe weather warnings are still in place for the region
