Do you recognise this man?

Do you recognise this person from this forensic reconstruction? He’s being dubbed “Cannonbieman”. Dumfries and Galloway Police are investigating the discovery of the body of a deceased male which was discovered on 20 December 2010 at Burnside Plantation, Canonbie, Dumfries and Galloway. The male, who is as yet unidentified is described as being:

* 40 – 60 years, White Male

* Between (5’8” to 5’9”) or (172.72cm to 175.26cm) in height,

* Bald head (areas of short hair visible) ,

* He would appear normally to be clean shaven however there is grey stubble visible on the face

* There appears to a small scar to the area of his lower right abdomen

* He has six teeth missing. There is evidence that his upper left first premolar socket has not fully healed which indicates that he had this tooth extracted possibly within the last 6 months

* He was wearing an olive green safari type hat, brown tanned coloured cord style jacket, black trousers, light coloured gloves and grey ankle boots of UK size between 6 & 8.

Recovered near to the body of the male was a daily Italian newspaper.

It has been established that the male may have been within Burnside Plantation since late November 2010.

There have been no forms of identification recovered during the Police investigation and as a result he remains unidentified.

Detective Sergeant Stephen Bell, Annan CID said “We appealing for any witnesses who have seen this male or can identify him from the forensically reconstructed facial image or his hat and ask that they contact Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary on 0845 6005701 or any police officer”.
