Delays on A709

Police are advising motorists to expect delays on the A709 near the entrance to Lockerbie following a serious road traffic collision.
A709 is temporarily closed at the junction with St Brides Terrace. Traffic can access Lockerbie via the APR and Queens Hotel.
The collision involved a van and a motorcyclist. The male motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in the collision. Whilst the extent is not yet known they are believed not to be life threatening. He is being taken to DGRI to receive treatment.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect delays if travelling nearby.
