Missing person appeal

Police in Stranraer are growing increasingly concerned for the well being of a local man who has been missing since 08.00hrs on Wednesday 20th July 2011. The missing man is:
JOHN MCKINLAY, aged 79 years, from Hillview
Mr McKinlay was last seen leaving his house that morning at around 07.00hrs and has not returned. He was later seen on the A75 heading towards Castle Kennedy at around 08.05hrs.
He is described as: around five foot eight inches tall with a medium build and larger stomach. He has brown and grey hair and wears glasses. He was last seen wearing dark coloured trousers, a navy coloured shower proof three quarter length jacket and a flat cap.
Anyone who has seen Mr McKinlay or know his whereabouts is asked to contact police on 0845 600 5701 or any police officer. Information can also be left anonymously with Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
