Alive Olympic Breakfast
Written by Kevin Rennie on June 18, 2012
This Tuesday Dave Macfarlane will be bringing you Alive Breakfast live from the Burn’s Statue in the centre of the town helping get you up, and welcome the Olympic Torch to Dumfries. So be sure to join Dave from 7AM on Thursday. The relay will be travelling throughout Dumfries, starting at 0752 at the Burns Statue Dumfries, before heading south along Buccleugh Street, turning left onto the Whitesands, before turning left again and heading up Bank Street, along Main Street, before going right up Great King Street and heading right along the A780 (Annan Road) and finishing in Gasstown just before the Dumfries Bypass. Throughout the Relay it will be possible to see the flame – and it promises to be well worth the early start to see it.
If you’re not in Dumfries but would still like to see the torch it will be travelling throughout the region on Thursday:
– Annan – Starting at 0850
– Eastriggs – Starting at 0909
– Gretna – Starting at 0929
– Carlisle – Starting at 1023
If you’d like to track the Torch and see all of the action in the comfort of your own home then you can watch the Olympic Torch TV Channel online at the official London 2012 website..
