Search For Local Woman Called Off

The search for a woman feared to have fallen into a flood-swollen burn in Thornhill, Dumfriesshire, has been called off for a second night.
It is now believed that the search will be suspended until the high water levels fall to allow a more extensive search to be carried out. Linda Weir is thought to have fallen from a quad bike when she was crossing Burnsands Burn, near Crairieknowe Farm.
