Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 17 year old man in Dumfries on Sunday 8 August 2010. Around 0455 hours on Sunday 8 August 2010 an ambulance was called to a house in Terregles Park in Dumfries where it removed a 17 year old man Alistair Bell of Hillview Drive in Dumfries to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death and are keen to trace anyone who may have come into contact with Alistair over the hours and days prior to his death. The circumstances of this death are not thought to be suspicious and a report has been submitted to the procurator Fiscal. A post mortem examination has also been arranged.
