Annandale councillor dies in hospital after collapse

Ted Brown, 62, who represented the Annandale North ward, had been attending the planning, housing and environment services committee.
He was treated by paramedics before being transferred to Dumfries Infirmary, where he later died.
A council statement said that as a mark of respect all council business had been cancelled for the rest of the week.
In addition, all civic engagements involving Dumfries and Galloway councillors have been cancelled for the week.
A decision will be taken on Friday as to whether business will be resumed next week.
