Darren Connor – tragic loss, during Lockerbie Loop cycle run on Sunday

Police have named the man who died in Lockerbie during the Lockerbie Loop cycle run on Sunday 19 June 2011 as 40 year old Darren Connor who lived in Lockerbie. The Procurator Fiscal has been sent a report and there no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
Darren was well known as a local film maker, university lecturer and freelance writer on film and media education. He was also very active with the Robert Burns Centre Film Theatre, who made their facilities available yesterday for anyone who wished to call by for a coffee and chat. The RBCFT staff posted on their Facebook page; “All of the staff at the RBCFT wish to express their deep shock and sadness at the untimely death of Darren Connor our dedicated programmer and film club host. There are no words to describe this loss and our thoughts are with Darren’s family and friends.”
