Dead man named as John Lochrie

Police confirm that the man found dead at Glenshimmeroch, Dalry, Castle Douglas on Thursday 7th October was John Lochrie, 54 years, from High Street in Dalbeattie.

Mr Lochrie was a woodcutter and was working in the woods at Glenshimmeroch when he died. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding this death and the Procurator Fiscal has been notified.
