Deputy Chief Constable, George Graham is Annette Richard’s guest this Wednesday, between 7-9am. He’s likely to be interviewed around 8am.
George Graham joined Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary in December 1982. He is local to Dumfries and Galloway and is based in Police Headquarters, Dumfries, where latterly he held the position of Chief Superintendent, Head of Operations, until his promotion to Deputy Chief Constable on 1 January 2006.
Among his commitments, he represents the Force on the Association of Chief Police Officers Scotland (ACPOS) General Policing Business Area, Crime Business Area, Professional Standards Business Area and Information Management Business Area, where he has specific portfolio responsibility for Public Interface.
He’s going to be leaving Dumfries & Galloway to take up the post of Chief Constable of the Northern Constabulary, in April this year.
George is also manager of Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary Pipe Band and is married with one son.
