Dumfries Cricket Club – Weekend Results

On Saturday APD Dumfries overtook their opponents, Drumpellier, to move into fourth place in the Western Premier League after a 23 run win. Dumfries posted 177 all out with Scott Beveridge providing the crucial innings, top scoring with 58. Then Chris McCutcheon took the first four wickets to fall to give Dumfries a good start and Alan Davidson added another four wickets as Drumpellier were bowled out for 154 with six overs left.
Eco-Genics Nunholm lost a low scoring match at home against Drumpellier 2nds, Langloan, in the Western Premier Reserve League. Jerry Goodin took four wickets as Langloan were dismissed for 89 but Nunholm fell fifteen runs short, all out for 75.
After being part of the Scotland U19 squad in the Netherlands that qualified for the U19 World Cup last week, Dumfries’s Niall Alexander travels with the Scotland U17s for matches this week against U17 sides from the English Counties.
