Fatal Accident on Hollywood – Dunscore Road – Deceased named as Carol Hesketh

This morning Dumfries & Galloway Police confirmed that the woman who died as a result of the injuries sustained following a fatal road traffic collision yesterday (Monday 13 September) as Carol Hesketh, aged 51 years, from Dunscore.
The collision at around 12.25hrs on Monday 13 September and occurred on the B729 Dumfries to Carsphairn Road. It involved a green coloured Berlingo van being driven by Ms Hesketh and a silver coloured Volvo articulated lorry being driven by a 46 year old man from out-with the region.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, particularly the driver of a large goods vehicle seen in the area, or anyone who seen either vehicle travelling prior to the incident to contact them on 0845 600 5701 or any police officer.
