Gala Targeted by Transerv Scotland
Written by author on July 8, 2016

Thornhill Gala have been deliberately targeted by vindictive officials of Transerv Scotland according to the people of Thornhill , and it seems like petty revenge for recent issues the village has had with the trunk road authorities erecting of bollards in the picturesque Nithsdale Village .
The Gala committee has spent all week retrieving their publicity banners from the local council who were asked to remove them on behalf of Transerv , they were once again removed yesterday .
A source within Thornhill Community Council said ” It’s interesting they have became interested in these banners after there officials were called to the village for a meeting on the bollards ” he also added that , ” These banners have been placed on the cross year on year without incident , and the petty behavior of the Transerv management is despicable , especially when you drive the length of the A76 and see banners that are not being removed “.
Thornhill Gala Day is Saturday 9th July

Maybe they should stick to fixing the roads and leave village life alone. Seems to me that they are overstepping their authority somewhat!
