“Heavier than Metal” – New show launches this Friday

Join me,Chris Walker, on a brand new show here on Alive 107.3fm “Heavier than Metal”. I have a huge pair of boots to fill in taking over the reins from John Fisher who has presented the Back of Beyond and Nearly back of Beyond shows for over 3 years.
I hope you will enjoy a mix of classic rock and metal from all over the world. In my first show this Friday I’ll be playing tracks from Ensiferum, Alter Bridge, Machine Head, In Flames along with this weeks featured Artists ” ARKAN” an amazing French band whose roots reach deep down into the ethnic sounds of Algeria and Morocco, Oriental Metal at its very best.
I’ll have a weekly quiz to win your chance to present your top 3 Metal and Rock tracks live with me on the show, there’ll be a book review, Pop goes metal cover of the week, an album review and a weekly catch up of up coming gigs and festivals.
More than anything though I want this to be OUR show – You and me, I may introduce you to some of new bands but likewise I want you to keep me up to speed with any new finds that you may have.
It’s going to be a 2 hour roller coaster ride of the heaviest rock and metal around – so fasten your seat belts and hold on tight for ” Heavier than Metal” – Friday nights at 9pm
