Scottish Parliament Elections hustings

With the election for the next Scottish Parliament looming Dumfries and Galloway Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Small Businesses have teamed up to organise a Hustings in each of the two local constituencies.  Come along and hear what each of the constituency candidates has to say about the economy and local business as well as the full range of issues that are dealt with in the Parliament.

Brian Sherman Chair of the Dumfries and Galloway Branch of the FSB said

“What the Scottish Government decides affects us all so this is a great chance to see all the candidates in action before you make your choice on the 5^th May. We also want to make sure that the issues affecting business and the local economy are debated in this election”

Trevor Knowles President of Dumfries and Galloway Chamber of Commerce added

“When we see people fighting and dying in other parts of the world to get the right to vote it makes you realise how lucky we are and we should never take the right to vote lightly.  This is an important election for everyone during such challenging economic times and this is your chance to be heard”
