Suspicious Fire at the Railway Inn, Lochmaben

Police and the Fire and Rescue Service are investigating the cause of a fire at the Railway Inn in Lochmaben. Around 2340 hours on Friday 23 July 2010 a fire was discovered in the premises. Fire and Rescue Service attended and the fire was extinguished. A joint investigation is underway however early indications point to it being suspicious. No one was injured in the fire however considerable damage has been caused to the building.

Police want to hear from anyone who may have been in the area of the Railway Inn on the evening and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious, or anyone who may have any other information about the fire
