Some people raise funds through pain- leg waxing, marathon running, head shaving. But our Saturday morning presenter Rory Nelson is asking you to hurt him musically, for money!! For the first time ever..its The Saturday Brunch From Hell!
On Saturday 21st February, as part of Alive 107.3fm’s ongoing fundraising initiative, Rory is turning over the playlist to YOU….and is asking for listeners to pledge donations in return for playing a song that you KNOW he will hate!
To be a part of this unique show all you need to do is email Rory on socialmedia@aliveradio.net with your pledge amount and,most importantly, the song you want to hear …alternatively, you can donate online via http://aliveradio.net/support-alive-radio/ …but don’t forget to email your song choice! You can donate any amount you want, but the worse the song, the bigger the pledge has to be!!!!
Regular listeners will know what Rory likes…and what he doesn’t, but for ONE SHOW ONLY, you can get him to play One Direction! Justin Bieber! Steps! …..or the big ticket item….you can demand Rory plays COLDPLAY!

I will pledge £20.00 if Rory plays ‘Wondrous Stories’ by Yes. It’s debatably their finest line-up and a fairly straightforward song onto which five stellar musicians have put their unique stamp. Listen to the way it builds in complexity, but never turns into solo grandstanding – it’s all about serving the song.
Plus I know Rory doesn’t like progressive rock, so …
