Young Quality Scot Awards 2011, call for nominations

Young Quality Scot Awards, run by Quality Scotland, are national citizenship awards which provide an opportunity to recognise and reward the effort and commitment of our young people who volunteer and contribute to the success of their communities. Dumfries and Galloway Council is hosting the awards for the first time in March 2011.
The awards are delivered in partnership with 19 local authorities across Scotland. Each local authority takes responsibility for the nomination and selection process for their area. The Council’s Community Learning and Development Service is asking you to nominate young people aged between 16 – 19 years from throughout Dumfries and Galloway.
This event is about showing young people that their efforts are valued and appreciated and to do this a range of activities are arranged. The deadline for nominations is Thursday, 23rd December 2010.
