Young Trad musicians visit Dumfries and Galloway‏

Currently on their Year of Creative Scotland Trad Trail tour, this exceptional group of Fèis Rois musicians shows Scottish traditional music at its very best.

They will spend summer 2012 touring everywhere from the Callanish Stones to the Kelvingrove Museum and Stirling Castle to Skara Brae. With their beautifully crafted songs and driving tune sets, these young musicians promise you an entertaining performance of both traditional and contemporary folk music.

The group will be in Stranraer on Monday 16 July: St John’s Castle 1:00pm – 3:30pm and ………………7:30pm onwards in the Grapes Inn, both are free events, but donations welcome.

On Tuesday 17 July: Wigtown County buildings 1:00pm – 3:30pm, free but donations welcome, snacks & refreshments will be on sale

On Wednesday 18 July. 7:30pm: Gracefield Arts Centre in Dumfries The evening is hosted by Gàidhlig Dumgal: www.gaidhligdumgal.com Purchase of ticket is not required, but donations on the night would be welcome, which will go towards the cost of the trad.tour. There will NOT be a bar, but refreshments will be available, along with a raffle.
