Bus fire on A75 near Shawhead on Saturday night

3 fire engines arrived at the scene of a bus fire just after 7.15 last night (Sat 12th Oct) at the A75 junction to Shawhead, Dumfries.
4 passengers and the driver had already evacuated the bus, which was 40% destroyed by the fire, according to the Fire Service. It’s believed the fire started in the engine compartment, due to a ruptured fuel pipe.
