Fatal accident on B729 Holywood to Dunscore road

Police in Dumfries are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision that occurred today (Monday 13 September) on the B729 Hollywood to Dunscore road, approximately one and a half miles from the A76.
The collision occurred at around 12.30hrs and involved a green Berlingo van and a silver Volvo articulated lorry. The female driver of the van sustained fatal injuries in the collision.
Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident or who seen either vehicle prior to the collision.
