Police in Dumfries are appealing for witnesses after a number of fires were started deliberately in the Lochside Road and Dunlop Road areas of Dumfries, in the early hours of Friday morning (13/5/2011) completely destroying a caravan and wheelie bins.
The residents of one address had to be evacuated from their home for a short time due to the presence of a gas cylinder nearby. They have now been allowed to return home, as all fires have been extinguished.
Any person who has information regarding the fires themselves or the persons responsible for starting the fires is asked to contact Dumfries Police on 0845 600 5701, or can provide information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
