Police appeal for witnesses as injured woman found

Police in Dumfries are investigating the circumstances surrounding a 45 woman who was found in a dazed condition in Buccleuch Street in Dumfries, near to the traffic lights at the top of the Whitesands, at around 1920hours on Monday 12.September 2011. The woman was found bleeding from the head, lying on the ground, by a passer by. Ambulance staff attended and she was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary where she was treated for a head injury. Her condition is not serious however the circumstances as to how she came to be in that condition are unclear at this time. Police are appealing to anyone who may have been in the Buccleuch Street/Whitesands area to get in touch if they can assist with this investigation.
