Serious road traffic collision at Drummore

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious one vehicle road traffic collision that occurred on the A716 Cornerhouse to Drummore Road just south of Drummore, at around 20.15hrs on Thursday 16 August.
The collision involved a blue coloured Vauxhall Corsa being driven by a local 20 year old man. The man sustained serious facial and head injuries in the collision. He was taken to Galloway Community Hospital before being transferred to Glasgow Royal Infirmary to receive treatment on the injuries sustained. His current condition is described as serious but stable.
Anyone who was travelling in the area around the time of the incident or witnessed the blue Vauxhall Corsa prior to the collision is asked to contact police on 0845 600 5701 or any police officer. Information can also be left anonymously with Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
