Details of the serious road traffic collision on A701 this morning

Police in Dumfries are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision on the A710 at Whinneyhill near Dumfries this morning (Friday 5 November).
The collision occurred at around 08.30hrs and involved a white Fiat Punto and a grey Suzuki Jeep.
The local 32 year old male driver of the Suzuki has sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision and has been taken to DGRI to receive treatment. His passenger, whose details are unavailable at this time, was also taken to DGRI to receive treatment on minor injuries.
The local 22 year old male driver of the Fiat Punto was also taken to DGRI to receive treatment on minor injuries sustained in the collision.
