Free rehearsal facilities at Oasis Youth Centre

Young musicians aged 12-25 are set to benefit from free rehearsals thanks to grant funding from Creative Scotland.
The project, which has just started, is aimed at getting new young people involved in music making by removing barriers to using high quality practice facilities. The normal charges associated with rehearsing have been temporarily removed and the funding is expected to last up to one year.
The Oasis Youth Centre benefits from a large rehearsal room featuring a full line up of equipment from top manufacturers like Marshall, Ashdown and Yamaha, ensuring young people enjoy a professional experience.
It is anticipated the project will be promoted through links with schools. Our Council also has My-Pod, Community Learning and Development Nithsdale’s new mobile youth centre, allowing promotion of the facilty to rural communities.
